God I hate ikea furniture.
This sofa sleeper has been our guest bed each and every time we’ve had overnight stays with our grandkids. It is firm, and comfortable and the kids jump all over it each morning upon waking ( while we are still sleeping on it! So I think it’s a genius design and holds up to lots of child friendly wear and tear.
We now want to purchase one for our vacation home, for our guests!!

Issue is ikea doesn't have lots of color and material choice. It's mass marketed when lots of couches need to be custom to fit a room

I bought this exact sofa early last year. My cat's have used the sides as a scratcher!! The sofa, bed, and all cushions are still good. I prefer softer material for a sofa but this it what my kids and I chose. It's fine. I am currently looking for a sofa cover. For me the sofa is a bit too firm. And sitting on it is not so great. I find it more comfortable to watch TV with the bed out and I really like the storage! From 1 to 10, I give it an 8 😊

I am currently going through lots of different models from different manufacturers and shops. And with IKEA sofas, I am a bit hesitant as there are some 2/5* reviews on models like KIVIK or VILASUND, mainly due to the creaking and depreciation.
My best friend had this sofa in her apartment , I HATED IT, it comes apart too easily , the back is too low and very uncomfortable to sit on , I just freaking hated it. Sleeping on it isn't very comfortable either. I just wouldn't buy this couch unless you have no other options.
